CURTORIM: Cumborda crushed Eclate by 7-1 to move into semi-finals of the 4th Jose and Franky memorial inter-ward football tournament, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Monday.
Cumborda scored their first goal through Meco Fernandes in 10th minute.
Cumborda doubled their lead through Marcus Fernandes in the 13th minute.
In second half, Eclate came up with some new ideas and quick passing but their striker Joy Hilario missed an easy sitter.
Eclate’s John’s shot was saved by the Cumborda keeper Jhonson Baghot.
Minutes later, Cumborda made it 3-0 through Myron Fernandes.
In the next minute, Cumborda added one more through Marcus Fernandes to make it 4-0.
A minute later, Eclate through Rosario Hilario pulled a goal back.
Two minutes later, Marcus Fernandes completed his hat-trick to make it 5-1 for Cumborda.
In the 56th and 60th minute, Myron and Meco added two more goals respectively to make it 7-1 for Cumborda.
