RAIA: In an exciting semi-final, Cumborda pipped Agxem 1-0 to move into the final of Paldem SC Curtorim Cup played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Monday.
The all-important goal came from the boots of Myron Fernandes of Cumborda from the top of the box in the 15 minute of the first half. At the half time, the score read 1-0 in favour of Cumborda.
Agxem started the second half on an aggressive note, with Nickson and Jovial troubling the Cumborda defence time and again. Cumborda were rewarded a penalty as Agxem’s Nikson was brought down in the danger area by Alviston.
However, the penalty taken by Jovial was saved by Cumborda goalkeeper. Agxem tried to get back on track but the Cumborda defence stand firm till the full-time.
