RAIA: Cumborda Sports Club outplayed St Anthony Sports Club 6-0 to enter into the quarter-finals of Batora United 9-a-side football tournament organised by Batora United at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
The match started on fast pace and both teams showed urgency to score and Cumborda Sports Club scored three goals in each session of play.
Mackson opened the scoreline for Cumborda SC in the 10th minute, while Veron doubled the lead in the 15th minute of play. St Anthony SC’s Seldon and Sandy missed good opportunities to score.
Cumborda SC increased the tally through Deslie to make it 3-0, at the half time.
Changing over, Cumborda SC netted three more goals. Veron completed his brace in the 35th minute of play, while Rio added another two quick goals in 40th and 45th minute. St Anthony SC couldn’t capitalised on the chances that came their way.
Miller Cardozo of St Anthony SC was awarded the man-of-the-match by Seby Fernandes.
