CHINCHINIM: Cuncolim Union edged past Navelim SC 2-1 to lift the 2nd CRCC Cup organised by CRC Chinchinim, at CRC Chinchinim ground, on Sunday.
Navelim opened the score-line through Joevin D’Costa in the 28th minute but the joy was short-lived as Bevan Carvalho equalised for Cuncolim in the 30th minute.
It was Cuncolim’s goal scoring machine Daulat Dessai who netted the match-winner in the 35th minute.
The winners were awarded Rs 40,000 while the runners up received Rs 30,000 plus trophies.
Arnaldo Costa, vice chairman of GFA Womens committee and general secretary of Curtorim Gymkhana was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up in the presence of Fr Jose Antonio Da Costa, parish priest of Chinchinim church and other dignitaries.
