PANJIM: Cuncolim Union edged past St Rock, Majorda 3-2 to enter the semi-finals of Lourdes Soccer 2015 organised by Ambelim Sports Club, at Ambelim ground.
Saurabh opened the account for Cuncolim Union in the 15th minute through a free kick which deflected and entered the net giving no chance for the rival goalkeeper Enson Sequeira.
Frazer Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute. Later, Russel Monteiro reduced the margin for St Rock.
Daunet Desai made it 3-1 and it looked like it was all over for St. Rock but a rasping right footer from Russel Monteiro reduced the deficit for the losers.
Cuncolim Union will meet Chandor Sports Club in the semi-final on February 7.
