CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim Union beat Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna, 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of the Rising Cup 2022 football tournament, organised by Rising Club of Sanvorcotto Cuncolim, at Cuncolim ground, on Friday
Rossman Cruz, Nagoa opened the scoring through Imamsab Guledgudda in the ninth minute.
In the second half, Cuncolim Union equalised in the dying minute through Sharfaraz Shaikh.
In the tie-breaker, Cuncolim Union netted through Melvin Fernandes, Denvil Fernandes Dailon Carvalho, Trijoy Dias and Bharat Gaonkar while Noel D’Silva, Andrus Jhon, Imamsab Guledgudda and Frazier Rodrigues found the net for Rossman Cruz, Nagoa Verna.
The man-of-the-match award was presented to Hilton Fernandes of Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna by club member Brian Gama.
