SANGUEM: Curchorem Youth CC defeated Seiko by five wickets in the GCA A Division South Goa zone match, at Sanguem ground, on Monday.
Curchorem won the toss and elected to field. Seiko put up a total of 229/7 in their 35 overs.
Omkar Bhandari was the top scorer of the innings with 74 runs off 53 balls followed by Vishwas CN who scored 51 off 43.
The Curchorem bowlers put up decent performances as Pranav Bhice scalped three wickets while Sandeep Dalal picked up two wickets.
In reply, Curchorem Youth chased down the total with 8 balls to spare. Raju Ghodge remained unbeaten with 72 runs off 62 balls and was well supported by Pranav Bhice (57 n.o).
Adit Gaonkar fell 5 runs short of his half century.
