RAIA: Guardian Angel SC, Sanvordem, lost to Curtorim Gymkhana via the tie-breaker, 4-2, in a pre-quarter final match of the Cavelossim Villagers UK Cup organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim and played at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim,
on Friday.
Both teams failed to score during the regulation time, the tie-breaker was enforced where Freddy, Floyd, Savio and Ray Dias were on target for Curtorim Gymkhana while Keegan and Godwyn scored for Guardian Angel. Keeper Johnson Boget of Curtorim was the hero of the match as he successfully blocked two penalty kicks taking Curtorim into the quarter-finals where they meet Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
