AVEDEM- PARODA: Curtorim Gymkhana registered a solitary goal win over Sarzora SC to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Agnelo soccer organised by Fr Agnel YC, Paroda, at Avedem Paroda ground, on Friday.
Curtorim Gymkhana defender Savio Fernandes star of the match with his tackling, dribbling and power-packed long rangers.
Both teams started the match on forefront move the first best chance fell to Sarzora’s Chadel Fernandes but was easily tackled by Savio Fernandes in the second minute.
Two minutes later, Savio sent in a long ball to Josly Gomes but Josly shot wide. Savio took two long range shot but failed to pop up into Sarzora net.
In the second half, Savio foxed Sarzora defenders and gave a diagonal pass to Amar Estebeiro, who without wasting time netted the match winner with a placement shot in the 42nd minute for Curtorim Gymkhana.
