RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana downed Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC 3-0 in a thrilling match of the all-Goa inter-village Lourdes Festival football tournament organised by United Club of Utorda, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Saturday.
In the 5th minute, Curtorim Gymkhana’s Joslan ran from the midfield and tackled three players but Rossman Cruz’s goalkeeper saved well.
Thereafter, Rossman Cruz had a chance to take a lead when Frazer D’Costa tactically passed to Andrew in the D area but missed by inches. Rossman Cruz had a golden chance to go ahead but Andrew’s header narrowly missed the target.
The score was 0-0 at lemon time. Curtorim Gymkhana had an opportunity to score in the 45th minute but the ball hit the crossbar.
Curtorim Gymkhana drew the first blood through the boots of Josslyn in the 50th minute. Soon, they doubled the tally through Milagres Fernandes to make it 2-0. Anselm scored the third goal for Curtorim Gymkhana.
