A superb brace by Roy Colaco helped Curtorim Gymkhana to thrash Union of Chinchinim Villagers 3-0 to sail into the quarter-finals of 36th Chandor Seamen cup inter-village football tournament organised by Chandor Club at Chandor ground, on Monday. The winners led 1-0 at half time.
Curtorim took the lead when Marcus Fernandes disposessed a rival defender after picking up a pass from Valzunio Fernandes and beat the rival goalkeeper.
Stung by the setback, Chinchinim regrouped and tested the rival goalkeeper, but without any success.
Curtorim put up a better display in the second half and called the shots right through.
In the 45th minute, Roy Colaco doubled the lead as he outwitted a couple of defenders and unleashed a rasping drive that outfoxed the Chinchinim goalkeeper.
In the 57th minute Roy struck again to complete his brace.
Chinchinim went all out in search of goals but failed to get past the Curtorim defenders.
