FATORDA: Ten-men Curtorim Gymkhana came from behind to hold Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao to a thrilling 1-1 draw in the Goa Football Association’s (GFA) GENO First Division League in association with Jhoncy Restaurant, Benaulim, played at Artificial Turf, Fatorda, on Monday.
The deadlock was broken by Jayesh Kadam of the Taleigao side in the 32nd minute whose fine shot eased past the opposition keeper who clearly had no reach of the goal bound shot.
In the second half, the Curtorim side had more misery piled onto them as Elroy Soares was shown a direct red card for deliberately handling the ball in the 57th minute.
But in the 72nd minute, Rocky Borges slotted home an inch perfect ball from his fellow teammate from the right flank making it all square for the Curtorim side with a neat finish as the Curtorim Gymkahana came from behind to hold Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao to a thrilling 1-1 draw.
