CALANGUTE: Curtorim Gymkhana trounced Penha de Franca 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of 5th All-Goa Reis-Magos Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament, organized by Verem Boys, Verem in collaboration with United Club of Nerul, at Panchayat ground, Ambekhand, Verem, Friday.
Curtorim shot into lead in the very second minute through a Milagres Fernandes solo effort. Serterio Monteiro doubled the lead for Curtorim, heading home a Seby Martins cross in the eighth minute.
Changing over, Penha de Franca forwards tried their best to score but goals were hard to come. Valencio Ferrao scored the third goal for Curtorim in the dying minutes of play.
