The first chance fell for Curtorim Gymkhana in the very 6th minute for Agnelo Martins who ran down from the left and collected the stray ball in the Betalbatim SC box and fired a rocket shot which crushed into the net of Betalbatim SC to open the account for the team.
Three minutes later, Klusner Pereira tried to trouble the rival defence in search of the equalizer in the bargain he crossed the two rival defenders but shot went wide. Agnelo Martins had another chance in the 12th minute but Austin Fernandes, defender of Betalbatim SC tackled his move.
Kingslee Fernandes of Betalbatim SC should have scored in the 23rd minute if Mario Mascarenhas of Curtorim Gymkhana had not cleared the ball that was entering the Curtorim Gymkhana net.
Austin Fernandes carved out a brilliant move for Betalbatim SC in the 34th minute after connecting a downward header which hit the inside of rival’s goal post and travelled safely into the net to level the score to 1-1 off an assist by Kingslee.
After the break, Curtorim Gymkhana doubled the lead through Josly D’Costa’s header in the 40th minute and Mario further increased the tally to 3-1 for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 42nd minute with his carpet drive.
