RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana and Cuncolim Union played a 2-2 draw in a GFA First Division match at Oratory ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
Curtorim opened the scoreline through Semson Fernandes with a placement shot in the 28th minute. However, their joy was shortlived as Denvil Rebello equalised for Cuncolim with a power packed shot in the 38th minute.
Curtorim shot into the lead through Hanslum Furtado’s long ranger in the 41st minute but Maldino Rodrigues levelled terms for Cuncolim in the 55th minute.
There was a clash of colours of the teams. Both reported with identical colours, with Cuncolim Union failing to come with their second choice.
At the managers meeting, the teams had shown different colours and as such then ‘B’ team – Cun colim Union had to wear bibs, according to Match Commissioner Milagres Teresa.
In another match at Navelim ground, YC Manora defeated Sao Jose de Areal 2-1. Swedon Barbosa netted for Manora in the 8th minute but Sandeep Choudhury equalised for Areal in the 34th minute.
