RAIA: Raia Sporting Club will kick start the golden jubilee edition of Custodio Memorial football tournament from today at Raia Panchayat ground at 4.30 pm
Speaking at a press conference, Anthony Oliveira stated that the inaugural match will be played between St. Rock’s Youth Club, Calata-Majorda and Sporting Club De Davorlim.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament. These teams include: St. Rock’s Youth Club, Calata-Majorda, Sporting Club De Davorlim, Parish Youth Nuvem, Nerul Sports Club, Fr. Agnel Youth Club Paroda, Sao Jose De Areal, Cuncolim Union, Dramapur Sports Club, Curtorim Gymkhana, CAC Sports and Social Club Cansaulim, Verna Sports Club, Betalbatim Sporting Club, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, Navelim Sporting Club, Peddem Bomm Sports Club, Anjuna and the hosts Raia Sporting Club.
The finals will be held on August 5. The winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 while the runners-up will received Rs 70,000.
General Secretary Cosme Oliveira and other members were also present.
