Don Bosco HS beat St Anthony’s HS, Monte de Guirim 4-2 in the football tournament organised by Saraswat Vidyalaya High School Khorlim, Mapusa, as part of their centenary celebrations.
Don Bosco scored through Jesus Estrocio, Ndidi E Chukwuma (two) and Asten Mendes. Aniket Shipe and Ashwin Bansode netted for Monte de Gurim.
St Britto’s HS, Mapusa beat Fr Agnel, Pilar 1-0 with Arnold Fernandes being the scorer.
Progress HS Sanquelim beat Mae de Probes, Nuvem 4-1.
Alwin Cardozo scored two, Chukwudi Chukuwuma and Ganesh Thakur one each.
Stephen Colaco of Mae de Probes scored the team’s only goal.
Infant Jesus HS, Colva beat St Joseph’s HS Calangute in the tie-breaker 5-4.
Richard Shinde, Sunil Shetye, Roy Elariao, Geoffrey Pacheco and Brian Rodriguese scored for Colva school. The scorers for St Joseph were Prajot Kerkar, Shelton Bhogot, Zion D’Sousa and Cliphton Fernandes.
The semi-finals and finals will be played tomorrow.
