Damodar High School and Bhatikar Model High School from Margao recorded victories to move into second round of Under-16 Salcete taluka Dilip Sardessai memorial inter-school cricket tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association,  at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
Bhatikar defeated New Era by six wickets. Batting first, Bhatikar scored 143 for 4 in 25 overs. Arun Mohite (46) and Sgubankar Das (46) top scored for Bhatikar.
For New Era, Fayyaz was the most successful bowler claiming 2 for 20.
In reply, New Era were bundled out at 105 in 17.3 overs.  Saish Kavlekar was the only batsman to score 39.  For Bhatikar, Varad Dabholkar was wrecker-in-chief, scalping 3 for 16.
In another match, Damodar outplayed Adarsh by four wickets. Bating first, Adarsh were bowled out at 62 in 15.2 overs. Adarsh’s batsmen were bundled out cheaply at regular intervals. Akshay and Keshav contributed the highest, 10 runs each. For Damodar, Prithvraj Kumar, Nikhil Naik and Viswanth  Lotlikar shared two wickets each.
In reply, Damodar achieved the target by scoring 63 by losing six wickets in 17.2 overs. Muzamil B (10) top scored for winners.

New Era: 105 all out in 17.3 overs (Saish Kavlekar 39, S. Ganesh and Chirag Pratik 11 each. Bowling: Varad Dabholar 3-16, Gautam Gaonkar, Arun Mohite, Shubhankar Das and Ayyaz Shaikh one wicket each).
Adarsh: 62 all out in 16.2 overs (Akshay and Keshav 10 runs each. Bowling: Prithviraj Komarpant 2-9, Nikhil Naik 2-11, Vishwantah Lotlikar 2-4.
Damodar: 63 for 6 in 17.2 overs (Muzamil Babil 14, Prithviraj Komarpant 10 runs. Bowling: Manoj, Akshay and Sachin two wickets each).
