CURCHOREM: Boys of Damodar High School, Gudi-Paroda clinched the State Hockey U-17 title defeating St Anthony High School, Monte de Guirim 2-0 at SAG ground, Fatorda, organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Finalist of both the district North and South entered to play State level final.
Both the goals were scored in the first half. Narendra Gaonkar scored the first goal in the 15th minute while Avinash Rathod completed the tally in the 23rd minute.
After changing ends St Anthony boys tried their level best to equalize but could not succeed.
The team was coached by headmaster Nobert Fernandes and assisted by P.Ed teacher Eknath Marathe.
