PANJIM: Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi-Paroda defeated Fr Agnel Higher Secondary School, Pilar 4-0 to emerge champions of the South District Inter-Higher Secondary School Hockey tournament, organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, outside Nehru stadium, Fatorda, recently.
Damodar HSS took the lead in the 20th minute of the match through Saish Gaonkar off a pass from Dheeraj Gaonkar. The second session of the match was fully dominated by Damodar HSS in which they scored three more goals. Rajesh Chari scored a brace while Prabhakar Gaonkar added his name in the goal scoring list at the end of the match.
The South District winners Damodar HSS will now meet North Goa winners, St Xavier’s HSS in the State final.
