Damodar Sports Club defeated Tiswadi Sports Club by 1 point 20-5 in the finals of 37th Senior State kabbadi championship organised by Vividha Group, Navelim in collaboration with Sports Authority of Goa and Goa Kabbadi Association (GKA) at Municipal ground, Sanquelim recently.
In the semi-finals, Damodar SC beat Goa Police 30-27.
Damodar were trained by coach Caitano Clemente, Babusao Tirodkar and managed by Shailesh Desai.
V M Prabhudesai, SAG executive director was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Pratap Gawas (MLA), Ramesh Dessai (president, GKA), Sadanand Sawal Desai (vice-president, GKA), Lou Kanekar (chairman, GKA), Mahabaleshwar Surlakar (secretary, GKA) and Rama Prabhudessai (Jivabadada Kerkar awardee).
