Danny appointed physiotherapist of Uttarakhand Ranji team

 PANJIM: Danny Pereira from Goa Velha has been appointed as the Ranji Trophy team physiotherapist for the Uttarakhand team by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), recently.
The BCCI has recognised his work in this field for the past years and appointed for the post for the newly formed Uttarakhand Cricket Association team.
With this appointment, Danny now has resigned as Ranji Trophy team physiotherapist from Baroda Cricket Association, Gujarat, where he has been working with the association since 2009 till date.
His role has been formulating, planning and conducting prehab programmes for cricketers, educating sportsmen on precautions against injuries, on field and off field injury assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and referrals; maintaining players musculo-skeletal screening assessment and injury profiles, organisation of medical camps along with medical specialists for the pre-season and evaluation of cricketers when needed.
He worked for Goa Cricket Association (GCA) as a senior sports physiotherapist wherein he provided fitness training programmes for cricketers, supervision of sports training programmes, preparing and monitoring work out programmes of every individual player, conducting warm-up and cool down techniques and many more.
For a brief he worked for Goa Football Association as team physiotherapist for National Games in 2015 and for Santosh Trophy between November 2014 and February 2015 and played the role of grooming Vasco Sports Club, Vasco players between January 2006 and August 2007.
Danny has also been associated for various age category camps with NCA, Bengaluru.
