CAMORLIM: Danvodem Veterans blanked Albert Developers Veterans, Merces 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 5th All Goa Veterans Soccer tournament, organised by Boys of Camorlim in memory of late Jose Cardoda, at Camorlim ground on Monday.
Raymond D’Souza opened the account for Danvodem in the 6th minute. Danvodem scored the second within 10 minutes through Anthony. Albert Developers tried to get back into the game and pressed hard to keep their rivals pinned into their own half. Albert Developers’ Anthony Pereira was unlucky as his long range drive was brilliantly saved by Mathew D’Costa.
Danvodem defended resolutely and didn’t allow their rivals to get back into the game.
