Darsh, Mavany enter semis

PANJIM: Darsh Pai notched twin victories in State-ranking TNS PG Open Tennis tournament defeating Kyan Mavany 6-3 in the boys’ Under-18 and Devansh Naik 6-0 in the boys’ Under-14 respectively at Panjim Gymkhana, on Friday. 

Mavany’s solid forehand has ensured his entry in the semi-finals of the Under-14 with his win over Noah Carvalho. 

Kabir Gadre also made an easy meal of Gaurang Nerulkar 6-1 to move into the semi-finals Boys’ Under-18. 

In the Girls Under-18, Tithee Bhoomkar outplayed Mahi Singh 6-0 and Vidhi beat Anika 6-2, to reach the semi-finals. 

In the men’s pre-quarters, Tejas Shevde defeated Jai Gill 6-3, while Pankaj vanquished Kishore with a 6-0 victory. Tejas continued with his winning streak defeating Pankaj 6-0 and qualified for the semi-finals.
