ROULEM-CURTORIM: Davondem Veterans shot-out Bardez Veterans 6-5 via the tie-breaker to lift the Curtorim Veterans Cup organised by Curtorim Veterans, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
The full time score remained goalless.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Davondem Veterans netted through Francisco Colaco, Marcus Carvalho, Pratap Sawant, Philip Fernandes, Antonio Fernandes and Sanjay Borkar while Ramesh Palkar, Pascoal Pereira, Lino Pereira, Benedict Fernandes and Lawrence Quadros were on target for Bardez Veterans.
The winners were awarded Rs 40,000 while the runners-up received Rs 30,000 plus trophies.
Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco MLA of Curtorim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners up in the presence of Rui Menezes, Sarpanch of VP Curtorim, Arnald D’Costa, football promoter of Curtorim, other dignitaries and club officials.
