BENAULIM: SC Davorlim got the better of Betalbatim Sports Club 4-1 to enter the quarter-finals of the 28th Super Soccer football tournament, organised by United Boys of Dando-Colva and played at the Dando ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
Frazier Rogtao and Zeben Dias combined move for Betalbatim should have earned the first dividend, but Zeben’s shot was saved by Ashikesh Shetty, keeper of SC Davorlim in the fourth minute.
SC Davorlim regrouped to score four quick goals and opened the account in the 44th minute through Vincent Colaco. Joel Colaco doubled the lead in the 52nd minute whule Perryson Rebello made it 3-0 in the 59th minute. Benson Figuerido scored the fourth in the 60th minute.
Selio Fernandes pulled a goal back for Betalbatim SC in the last quarter of the match.
SC Davorlim will meet Navelim Villagers Union in the quarter-finals on June 10.
