Davorlim beat Oratory, move into quarters

Sporting Club of Davorlim defeated Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 2-0 to sail into the quarter-finals of 33rd Cana Benaulim Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Cana Benaulim Sporting Association at Dando ground, Benaulim on Thursday.
The match was well contested as the teams went on the offensive from the outset, but could not find the net.
The second session saw plenty of action as Davorlim went into the attacking mode and were rewarded when Paxton Gomes fired home off a pass from Piedade Colaco.
Spurred by the success, Agnelo Colaco of Davorlim slotted past the rival goalkeeper and fired through a snap shot.
Charlton of Don Bosco, with his stellar performance was given the man-of-the match prize.
