Heavy rains threw normal life out of gear in Salcete on Thursday even as reports of uprooting of trees came in from some parts of the taluka this evening.
Water logging was reported at a few low-lying roads, including the road behind the old court building at Old market area.
Fire services informed that two trees came crashing down in Margao and Navelim today. A car was left damaged after a tree came crashing down. The second tree fell on the road behind the Grace Church here, fire brigade sources said. It is learnt that a couple of trees were found uprooted along the coastal belt, but did not cause any damage.
The road behind the old court building was water logged this evening, hampering vehicular and pedestrian movement.
