Drop box facility for cheques in Margao

The Power department has started drop box facility at Margao for power consumers to drop cheques and plans are afoot to extend the facility across the state.
The drop box facility has been put in place at the Power House, Aquem, besides the complaint center opposite the power house.
Power consumers now need not wait in a queue, but straightaway drop the cheques in the box by mentioning the power consumer number at the back of the cheque.
If Power Minister, Alexio Sequeira is to be believed, the facility would be extended to other towns and villages in due course of time.
Admitting that the concept may be affected by some teething problems, the Power Minister said all problems will be rectified and the facility will be made consumer friendly.
