Sporting Club of Davorlim booked their place in the finals of Curtorim Villagers Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Curtorim Gymkhana with a fluent 2-0 win over Chandor Club, at Curtorim ground, on Wednesday.
All goals came in the first half.
Davorlim enjoyed the lion share of exchanges in both the halves and put their opponents on the defensive for a major part of the game. Davorlim opened the scoring in the 10th minute when striker Paxton Gomes punished the Chandor keeper with a rasping drive. Three minutes later, Agnelo Colaco doubled the lead with a stiff grounder after he picked up the ball from Rosebud Gomes.
Stung by quick double blows, Chandor tried hard but were unable to find the mark.
