DAVORLIM: Davorlim registered a solitary goal win against Fatorda to emerge as champions of the All Goa Veterans football tournament, organised by Davorlim Veterans, at Davorlim Panchayat ground, recently.
The all important goal of the match was scored in the second-half by Davorlim’s Pascoal Fernandes.
The winners were awarded Rs 30,000 and a trophy while the runners-up had to content with Rs. 20,000 plus trophy. Semi-final losers Navelim and Viva North were given Rs. 5,000 each.
Navelim MLA, Luizinho Faleiro was the chief guest and handed over the prizes in the presence of Cipriano Cardozo.
