Dayne clinches gold at sailing C’ship

DONA PAULA: Dayne Coelho came from two points down to win both races to finish equal with Jerome Kumar of AYN and won the overall title having more number of wins, in the Olympic RS:X category of the All-India Board Sailing Championship organised by Goa Yachting Association with Volvo Penta at the Dolphin Adventure Sports Centre, Hawaii Beach, Dona Paula, on Sunday.
Manpreet Singh of AYN finished in third place.
In the Asian Games Rs:One Category Katya Coelho maintained her lead to win gold and Russell Lobo came from behind to finish second ahead of Kedarnath Tiwari of EMESC Bhopal. 
In the Youth Olympic Techno 293 OD Keona Rajani who was trailing Ishwariya Ganesh of TNSA won both her races to take the gold while Avelino Fernandes took the bronze.
In the Raceboard category, Dirquane Coelho won both the races to reclaim the first spot ahead of Deepak Kumar of INWTC Goa while Davinder Singh of Orissa came third. Rhea Fernandes took the gold ahead of Neha Corriea. 
In the Nova open category, Kavinder Kuleghi of INWTC won gold while D Shekhar Rao of Orissa won silver ahead of Rajesh Kumar Rout of INWTC. 
In the Juniors category, Adarsh Chunekar won gold beating a stiff challenge from Shaurya Raina and Pearl Colvalkar of INWTC.
