Dayne’s comeback marred by equipment failure

PANJIM: Goa’s Dayne Coelho got into his rhythm and finished third in the fifth race and second in the sixth race before bad luck struck and he had yet another equipment failure when his mast extension broke and he had to abandon his last race in the RS:X men’s Olympic class category on Day 2 of the All India Board Surfing championship,organised by GYA, at Dona Paula, on Friday. 
Meanwhile, the race leader Jerome continued his dominance by winning all 3 races of the day and Manpreet Singh maintained his second position overall. Arjun Reddy bettered his position and sits in an overall third position at end of Day 2.
In the RS: One category all the top 3 sailors, Kedarnath Tiwari, Ishwariya Ganesh and Keona Rajani maintained their position in that order.
 In the Raceboard category, Kamlapati of EMESC Bhopal in men’s, Katya Coelho in the women’s, Ghanshyam in the Masters, Gopal Amin in the Grandmasters and Adarsh Chunekar in the Juniors  consolidated their lead over the other competitors.
