DBO down Carmona to enter quarters

RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated Carmona SC 2-0 to move into the quarter-final of the Rachol Overseas Cup, organised by Raitura Sports Club and held at the Raia Panchayat ground, on Thursday.
DBO Fatorda started the match brightly and almost took the lead in the 4th minute when Francis Andrade fed Necil Pinto into the box but Carmona keeper Mohammed Shaik saved his effort.
In the 12th minute, Carmona had the chance to score when Wendly Furtado on receiving the ball from Hasten Dias, dribbled past couple of rival defenders, but his shot was easily saved by the Bosco’s keeper Savio Silva.
Velton D’Souza long ranger for Don Bosco was blocked by Aaron Rebello, defender of Carmona, in the 18th minute.
A through pass by Cliff Barretto to Necil Pinto who was prowling into the Carmona box taped the ball inside Carmona net to open the account for Don Bosco in the 20th minute.
Aaron Rebello of Carmona connected the ball to Hasten Dias but shot wide in the 25th minute.
Crasten Araujo connected the ball to Minguel Barreto and the latter finished in style to double the lead in the 29th minute.
DBO Fatorda will meet SC Davorlim in the quarter-final on January 20.
