MAINA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda edged past Sporting Club Davorlim 2-1 to book their place in the final of the ICC Rebello Memorial inter-village football tournament organized by Maina Sports Club, at St Rita’s Church ground, Maina, on Sunday.
It was Sporting Club Davorlim who scored the first goal in the 11th minute through Cidroy Miranda off a powerful volley that beat the DBO keeper. But the lead was short-lived as Cliff Baretto equalised in the 18th minute for DBO.
Francis Andrade scored the winning goal for Don Bosco Oratory just three minutes before the final whistle.
Don Bosco Oratory will now meet winners of the Curtorim Gymkhana and Guirdolim SC in the finals slated on August 15.
