RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated St.Anthony Anthony, Colva 4-0 to move into the quarter final of the VJT cup 2023 at Chinchinim ground on Thursday.
The match started with both teams playing with high intensity and trying to break the deadlock, but they were met with strong resistance from the defenders.
The first goal came in the 27th minute when Joel Colaco unleashed a well-placed shot from outside the box that gave no chance to the St Anthony goalkeeper.
St Anthony tried to respond immediately and almost equalised in the 32nd minute when Samson Colaco made a run from the midfield and unleashed a powerful shot, however, it was saved by the Don Bosco goalkeeper.
The second half saw Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda increase their lead and assert their dominance over St Anthony Colva. In the 48th minute, Clive Miranda scored the second goal for Don Bosco with a solo effort, dribbling past several defenders and slotting the ball into the bottom corner. Nine minutes later, Elroy Baretto made it 3-0 with a well placed shot. The final nail in the coffin came in the 68th minute when Fransic Andrade scored the fourth goal for Don Bosco with a volley from inside the box.
