CHINCHINIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda thrashedCRC Chinchinim 4-1 to move into the quarter finals of the Our Lady of Merces Cup football tournament organized by Sirlim Sports Club, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Friday.
Preston Araujo opened the account for Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the 27th minute of Cliff Barretto connect.
Preston Araujo scored his brace and the second goal for Don Bosco in the 29th minute of Minguel Barretto’ pass.
Post Resumption, Don Bosco through Cliff Barretto scored the third goal in the 37th minute while Ryan Fernandes reduced the margin for CRC Chinchinim of Domnic Fernandes connect in the 47th minute.
Danny Dias increased the lead further, 4-1 for Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the 57th minute.
Earlier, Betalbatim SC defeated St Cruz Club of Cavelossim 4-3 via tie-breaker, Klinsman Pereira scored the first goal of the match for Betalbatim SC in the 31st minute.
Soon after ten minutes Adrian Viegas equalized for SCC Cavelossim.
In the resultant tie-breaker Betalbatim SC netted through Kingslee Fernandes, Klusner Pereira
and Melroy Costa while Adrian Viegas and Francis Carvalho scored for SCC Cavelossim.
