NUVEM: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda got the better of Navelim SC 3-2 to move into the semi-finals of the 5th Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Parish Youth Nuvem, at Jesus Mary Joseph Church ground, on Thursday.
Roger Azewedo’s hat-trick for Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda was the highlight of this match.
Clinton Niasso of Navelim SC opened the account for Navelim SC within the first 10 minutes of the match but the joy was short lived as Don Bosco Oratory’s Roger Azewedo equalised in the next minute.
Navelim SC shot into the lead again through Clinton Niasso however Roger netted two quick goals to make it 3-2 for Don Bosco Oratory in the 56th and 60th minutes respectively to take them into the next round of the tournament.
Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda will meet the winners of Verna SC and Cuncolim Union in the semi-finals on July 21.
