NAVELIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, registered a solitary goal victory over Raia Sporting Club to move into the final of the Gold Silver Rolling Trophy, at Our Lady of Rosary church ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
Hanslum Furtado of Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda was the star of the match while Garrison Fernandes of Raia Sporting Club gave his best.
Garrison Fernandes and Eldon Colaco of Raia missed chances to score in the 7th and 19th minutes respectively.
Maxwell Furtado netted the match winner in the 58th minute.
In another match, on Tuesday, Navelim Sporting defeated Betalbatim Sporting Club to book their place in the semifinals.
Navelim Sporting Club dominated the match and took the lead through Nash Pereira in the 24th minute. In the second session, he doubled the lead in the 54th minute. Betalbatim Sporting applied more pressure in the last ten minutes of the match but the strong defense of Navelim Sporting denied their strikers to score. Navelim Sporting will now meet Chandor SC in the semis on October 6.
