RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated SC Davorlim 7-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-final of the All Goa Rachol Overseas Cup, an inter-village St Ana football tournament, organised by Raitura Sports Club, at Panchayat ground, Raia, on Tuesday.
SC Davorlim enjoyed the lion’s share of possession with Paxton Gomes making inroads time and again in rival half.
Paxton assisted Joel Colaco for the team’s first goal of the match in the 6th minute. Paxton Gomes was once again involved in his team’s second goal when he gave a through pass to Perryson Rebello, whose left footer brushed the palms of DBO keeper Terence and entered the nets in the in the tenth minute.
Don Bosco’s Danny Dias scored an Olympic goal in the 12th minute when he curled his corner kick directly into the goal to make it 1-2.
Francis Andrade levelled terms for DBO in the 40th minute when he guided Niclou Borges cross with a simple tap in.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda proved to be better shooters.
