CHINCHINIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda trounced St Rock’s YSC, Calata –Majorda 3-1 via the tie-breaker to book their place in the semi-finals of the 8-a-side OL of Merces inter-village football tournament organised by Sirlim Sports Club, at Chinchinim church ground on Sunday.
Both the teams were tied at 1-1 at the normal time. St Rock’s YSC gained the lead through Mathew Colaco off Josley Dias in the third minute.
Don Bosco Oratory equalised in the 25th minute through Edgar Noronha.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Danny Dias and Cliford Noronha scored for DBO while St Rock’s YSC failed to convert in the shoot-out.
