GFA fails to announce tie…again

MAPUSA: Dempo Sports Club huffed and puffed their way into the semi-finals of GFA’s Knock-out tournament by getting the better of Sesa Football Academy 5-3 via the tie-breaker at Duler Stadium, here, Tuesday. The teams were locked 2-2 at full time.
As always, the Goa FA failed to announce the fixture of this important tie.
Prathamesh Maulingkar gave Dempo the lead in the 42nd minute while Mandar Rao Dessai doubled the advantage at the hour mark. Sesa pulled a goal back in the 69th minute through Agnelo Colaco while Gammy D’Costa levelled terms, late in the injury time.
In the penalty shoot-out, Dempo held their nerves and scored through Sahil Tavora, Deryl Endro, Holicharan Nazary while only Glan Martins was on target for Sesa FA. Dempo will now take on Margao SC on April 16, as the GFA draw states so.
