MAPUSA: Dempo Higher Secondary School, Cujira, had to wait for the penalty shootout as they defeated St Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, via tie-breaker (5-4 margin) in the finals of the North District U-17 boys Subroto Mukherjee football, at Duler Stadium, here, on Friday.
The teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time. For Dempo Higher Secondary School, Nash, Ashan, Sharmad, Mohit and Vedant scored while for St Xavier’s unit Marcus, Piyush, Gladin and Atharai netted.
