OLD GOA: Dempo SC beat FC Goa 3-1 in the AIFF U-15 Hero Junior League match held at Dempo Academy ground, on Sunday.
Dempo SC after dominating the first 20 minutes broke the deadlock in the 24th minute as Velanco Rodrigues took a power-packed shot and the ball hit FC Goa defender Sahil Inamdar and went in the goal which was given as a self goal.
Just two minutes before the half end, FC Goa striker Salgeo Dias took a long range shot and hit the crossbar and want in the goal and made it 1-1 at the break.
Soon after the break, Dempo SC at 54th minute winger Velanco Rodrigues took on 3 FC Goa defenders and took a shot directly in the goal and made it 2-1.
Dempo players kept putting pressure and FC Goa saved to brilliant goals at 85 minute a corner kick from Sherwin Abranches and FC Goa goalkeeper failed to collect the ball as Veiri Colaco made it 3-1.
