PANJIM: Social media in recent years is considered as the new rumour mill which churns out inside stories on major decisions at clubs which then spread on to other mediums of speculation.
The same has been monitored with unusual posts by one of Goa’s top flight clubs Dempo Sports Club which has left Goan football lovers searching for answers to the clues.
It can be recalled that many agencies across the country have been proliferating graphical notices about the Golden Eagles participation in India’s once top flight league which lost its charm to the emergence of the Indian Super League recently.
Seeking answers to put an end to the speculation, when Herald contacted the newly-appointed General Secretary Patwin Fizardo stated, “Nothing of that sort has been decided or discussed. As far as I know we are not participating in the upcoming season.”
Dempo SC have boycotted the I-league since 2017 as they pulled out for not having a proper road map for their future.
