Dicarpale Sports Club defeated Mandopa Sporting 5-4 via tie-breaker to advance in Rossman Cruz Nagoa Cup soccer, at Nagoa ground, Verna, on Thursday.
The teams enjoyed equal ball possession but were unable to materialise on the opportunities, which came in between in the regulation time.
In the penalty shoot-out, Sidney Furtado, Vincent Figueiredo, Brass Vales, Joaquim Figueiredo and William Niaso scored for Dicarpale while Jason Pereira, Alvito Colaco, Allister Gomes and Nivel D’Costa netted for Mandopa.
In the Wednesday’s encounter, Nerul Sports Club edged past Navelim Villagers Union 2-1 to enter the semi-finals.
