Caramorod SC shocked Upcoming Boys, Baida 3-0 to sail into the quarter-finals of VJT Cup football tournament, organised by VJT Events Management, at Church ground, Chinchinim on Thursday. Caramorod were leading 1-0 at half time.
Carmarod enjoyed a lion share of exchanges from the start, both in the attack and defence. Upcoming Boy’s citadel fell as early as in the third minute when Terence Soares’ stiff grounder beat the rival keeper hands down.
John Fernandes doubled the lead with a swift shot after he picked up a well through pass from his own half.
Schubert Monteiro rounded off the tally in the dying minutes with a scorcher from the top of the box.
