Vasco: Dinesh Govekar of Vasco Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) gym, won gold medal at National level bodybuilding competition held at Ujjain, Madhaya Pradesh recently. Dinesh and his gym instructor Mukesh Girap thanked Vacso MLA Carlos Almeida and SAG authorities for supporting and providing them equipment.
“I would like to thank the Sports Authority of Goa and the concerned departments for giving me all the support which helped me in getting the medal to Goa. I would also like to thank and appreciate my coach for his belief in me and continuously training me to make me the best,” said Dinesh Govekar.
His companion Tousif Kaltgee stood 6th at Mayor Trophy 2019 held at Ujjain.
SAG gym instructor, Mukesh Girap said that three out of four participants were from SAG gym Vasco who were personally trained by Girap.
Girap thanked Vacso MLA Carlos Almeida, Councilor Fredrick Henriques, and Executive director, V M Prabhudessai and joint director of coaching, Bruno for extending their moral as well as other support by providing necessary equipments required for bodybuilding.
Dinesh was felicitated by the SAG Vasco members who acknowledged his achievement with Rs7,000 cash and food supplements for his preparation for upcoming Federation Cup in the month of March 2020 which will be held in New Delhi.
