PANJIM: Dishaka Kankonkar got the better of Supriya Chowgule 19-3, 25-3 to clinch the junior title in the State Carrom Championship organized by Goa Carrom Association in association with SAG at Bal Bharavidyamandir, Ribandar.
In the sub-junior girls, Dishaka reached the finals after overcoming Cicilia Kupuraj 12-0, 14-8.
In sub-junior boys, Toyyib Raila of Margao entered the finals after edging past Utkarsh Naik 0-25, 18-9, 16-7 while Roy Rodrigues beat Sunil Gautam by 9-17, 11-0, 14/8 in the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals of junior boys, Rahul Lotlikar overcame Ganesh Pujari by 17-11, 25-9, 25-0 while Abhishek Jalvi beat Anup Churi 18-10, 16-18, 18-14 to reach the finals.
Suraj Lotlikar, vice-president of Goa Cricket Association, was the chief guest for the inaugural function while Prakash Naik was the guest of honour. Shashikant Amonkar, welcomed. P M Chari, secretary, proposed the vote of thanks. Rupa Dalvi compered.
