MARGAO: Fatima Sports Club A coasted a 4-1 win over Sarzora Youth Club to storm into the quarter-finals of CRC inter-ward football tournament organized by CRC, Chinchinim, at church ground, Chinchinim, on Tuesday.
There was no score at lemon break. Both the teams started the game on an attacking mode and kept the crowd on their toes. The action was largely concentrated in the midfield but Fatima Sports Club had the edge over the proceedings.
After the break, Fatima Sports Club started with promise and Domingos Rebello struck twice soon. With the double blows, Sarzora Youth Club went all out and succeeded in reducing the deficit when Caggle Vaz nicely placed the ball into the net.
Unfazed, Fatima Sports Club instead of defending went for an attack with Mayron scoring a brace to troop out worthy winners.
